When you visit the St. John Valley, you will find beautiful landscapes nestled along the Canadian border, a strong sense of community spirit and an industry that has kept this area thriving for close to a century. The French Acadian Heritage of the St. John Valley has influenced the culture of the region since 1785.   

The valley offers many recreational activities for every season from kayaking to Snowmobiling & ATVing to ice fishing and walking trails. The rivers and lakes offer superb fishing, boating and more.    

For accommodations you’ll find unique cottages, campgrounds and vacation home rentals all along our lakes and wooded areas.   Motels, Inns and B & B’s can easily be found to suit your accommodations are closer to towns. The local residents are generally known for their friendly and very hospitable demeanor to all visitors. 

Local music is central to the “heart” of the valley. From kitchen parties to Music in the Park, a weekly summer music series in Madawaska.  If you’re looking to relax and slow down for a while, then join us in the St. John Valley and experience our region’s spirit for yourself.
